We recommended different kinds of 'JETSO' restaurants in Yuen Long.

It is not exaggeration to say that Yuen Long is a Food Paradise, right?

Did you eat any 'Sweet Heart Cake' (老婆餅) before?

This time, we would like to share something different!

Tai Tung Bakery (大同老餅家)

Many people may firstly think of Hang Heung Bakery when we said 'Sweet Heart Cake' (老婆餅).

Actually, the 'Sweet Heart Cake' in Yuen Long from Tai Tung Bakery are great as well :)

We bought 6 'Sweet Heart Cake' (老婆餅) ($6 per one) and 4 'Preserved Egg Crisp' (皮蛋酥) ($7 per one)

'Sweet Heart Cake' (老婆餅), it is very soft and not too sweet. It suits for ladies to try.

We also tasted the 'Preserved Egg Crisp' (皮蛋酥), it tastes very good but if you ate them all, you will feel a little bit full.

We suggest you to share a half of Preserved Egg  Crisp (皮蛋酥) with your family and friends :)

Recommendations: If you seldom go to Yuen Long, it will be grateful to buy 'Sweet Heart Cake' (老婆餅) for your friends and relatives as a souvenir. Since it is convenience and easy to bring it back!

We have a Sham Shui Po Trip suggested by the FVenture today.

We follow the suggestion from FVenture to try some old Hong Kong style cuisine in that old district .

After a day trip, we plan to dine in our home court - Miss Chu in Yuen Long.



Miss Chu is the restaurant that is specialized in cooking pig offal and Hong Kong style laomian (撈麵).



If you wanna choose other kinds of topping, roasted goose and beef can be your options!

Pig Offal is very difficult to make as delicious as other meat because they are difficult to be softened or to be removed those disgusting taste.

But Miss Chu did it and even more than that!!!

We think they make those pig offal even more delicious than beef!!!!

They are worthy to pay a bit more for much more yum!!



I ordered a pig offal with beef noodle.

They are so amusing.

When I looked at it, I thought it would be a bit strong in the flavoring.

But when I taste it, that hypothesis is just hypothesis!!!!!

The soup makes the taste of pig offal and beef mixed together perfectly without replacing them with each other.


If you love some qualified offal meals, Miss Chu is the place you should visit at least once.

What a Terrible week!!! Work and study all day long!!!

Finally,we can enjoy our one day holiday .

After a hard week, we need something to refresh our mind and recharge our energy.

Before the cycling day begin, we decided to recharge our energy in the Chinese BBQ restaurant first.

And we chose the King of Roasted Goose in Yuen Long - Tin Hung Roasted Goose Restaurant

Although the price is higher than the normal Chinese BBQ lunch, we're still willing to pay for it.



Its taste is much more than the price.

We all ordered their ''Ace'' - Roasted Goose for our meal.

They still have strong impact on our tongue. 

Their roasted skin is so crispy and their meat is so juicy and chewy.

Ron ordered the chicken leg with  roasted goose and rice.

He said their chicken is just the 2nd actor to make the main actor become more charming .

To Fu Fa is one of my childhood favorite.

It is smooth, soft and sweet when you fill in some brown sugar on it.

I wanna taste that great traditional chinese dessert immediately!!!!!

When i was walking around in Yuen Long.

Suddenly, what I want to eat is just appearing in front of my eyes.



Ah Yuk Tofu Fa - A tiny and old To Fu Fa store

There are some many people queuing in front of it.

I believe that if their is a queue, that means that there is something worthy to spend time!!!

So that I chose to be the part of the queue.



After around 5 minutes waiting, I bought two To Fu Fa for my friend and myself.

When we were holding it, we just like holding a '"Holdable Cloud".

They are so white and smooth.

After we tasted the "cloud", we saw someone was eating other food from ''Ah Yuk''.

Let's check out what is it.



That is another old Hong Kong Snack - Red Bean Pudding.

Those pudding are full of red beans, they were so enticing!!!

As we have a dinner gathering later on , so we decide to try it next time.

Please, wait for me~~~~~~~~

That is the one of the most annoying and difficult question to answer ever!!!!!

Sushi? Pizza? McDonald?....

Western food Again?

This time, let's taste our local style food for our lunch!!!

This Hong Kong Style food ''legend'' is located in Yuen Long.



You can experience the old Hong Kong style restaurant in there because they have no air-con.

You will worry if you eat here during summer time. hahahahah



There is very few restaurant offering the Glass-bottled soda.

Surprisingly, Victory Beef Ball is one of them.

You may say "Glass or Aluminium bottled soda have the same taste, nothing special"

Once you try this, you will know the differences!!!!!



When I eat in some traditional place, I always choose their '' iconic '' food to eat.

Here is my choose: Beef Ball Noodle

No other toppings. No other sauce.

Because Beef Ball and the noodle are good enough to have a great impact on your appetite.



If you think it is too drab with one topping only, you can choose beef flank steak mixes with beef ball. ($30)

That is much amusing than Beef Ball Noodle.

My best friend just brought me to Sense dessert café and I found that it's amazing :))))

I’ve heard this café before and most of the comments are positive. 

This drove me to high expectation. 

Most of the people recommended molecular gastronomy and I’ve tried my favorite one here- plant-like tiramisu.

Tiramisu is one of my favorite dessert but the one I tried here is really special <3 

First is about the attractive design. 
The plant-like appearance really surprised me. it just likes a real plant.

Second is about the taste.
This “plant” is tasty and creamy. I can eat the whole “plant” as it’s not too sweet for me.

I highly recommend you to try the tiramisu and I believe you’d love it.

Today, I woke up a little bit late so I wanna have a tea instead of a lunch at Yuen Long around 2:45.

As there are many people queuing outside, me and my friend have to wait for 10 minutes for the seat.

We just randomly chose this one and this "random choice" was now becoming the member of my recommendation list.



I ordered one set of  Crispy Chicken Noodle (香酥雞扒干拌麵) and my friend ordered a bowl of Tai Wan style pork hock noodles (台式豬腳麵).

As we ordered two tea sets, we believe that the size should be smaller than the lunch or dinner size.

When the dishes appear in front of our face, we can't believe it!!!

Their size is Big enough as a Lunch!!!!

 Each tea set included one drink.

It costs $78 ($36+$38+2+2) as $2 is for the cold drinks charge.







If you have a meal in there during the other period, you can pay $10 more for a Tai Wan style drinks, No limited in the category !!!!! 

This strategy can attract those people just want a place to chat for a long time, especially for some girls, they can share one bowl of noodles and order 2 drinks by paying $10 for the other one.

Awakening - Always wake your appetite up

What does Awakening means? It means Wake Up, the Chinese meaning is "喚醒".

The physical environment is nice, quite and comfy to dine with your special one.

"When the fruit is the scarcest, its taste is the sweetest"

So there are just few chairs and desks only. 

You don't need to worry  because you can reserve it by your phone.

If you want a fantastic dinner in low price, Awakening will be one of your choice.

If you have difficulty in choosing something, you will probably get lost in their pasta menu coz there are 30 choices waiting for you. 

You can pay $10 more to have a set dinner with one more soup, bread and drink.

Before I leave, the waitress gave me one $10 cash coupon for next time visit.

This can't motive me to go there because I have already decided to come back again when I was having the delicious dinner.

Even it is Autumn, it is still very hot out there .

We know air-conditioner is killing our planet, but we just cant stop using it .


In fact, air-con just cools down our body, but it can't cool down our "heart".

So, we needa use a different way to cool our "heart" down . 

This time, I bring you to taste something that can sweep the hot from you.

That place call THE DESSERT KITCHEN in Yuen Long!!



I just can't wait to taste the dessert after i saw their ''selfie'' on the menu, hahahahahah:)



Jetso a: Strawberry Parfait ($48)

You can choose yogurt or ice-cream.Don't be afraid, both of them are in LOW-FAT.

Just eat what you can eat, Girl !!!!

Time to Eat !!!!



Jetso b: Purple Lover (紫葡之戀) ($ 48) 

The shop HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one.

The Grape tastes very strongly and freshly .

Warm remainder from the waiters: "It better melt in your mouth than in the bowl."



Jetso c: Mango Mein Mein Ice (芒果綿綿冰) ($42)

If you are mangoes fan, you will know that too sweet mango is not that tasty.

As their Mango Mein Mein Ice is a little bit sour, this potentially becomes your love!


Other than the food, the bright lighting makes us feel very comfortable.

And, the seats are big enough which is a good place to have "afterdinner-activity" with your friends.

Before I go to support for our homie in Causway Bay, I chose a local-styled restaurant to have a quick, penny and tasty lunch



You can choose what you want here!!!

You won't be strange on them if you love the Hong Kong style noodles (Fishballs, pork blood, vegetables, radish, sausage etc).

Dunno how to choose? It's okay!  Just said 'Mixed ingredients'!!!

The staff will give you a big surprise!!!

Then you will know what to choose next time!!!

A lot of ingredients with big bowl of noodle, it just costs $20 (Small size) only! $20! OMG!!!

In my memory , I had a lunch just cost $20 when i was still a F.3 student, it just likes my old friend.

When you meet a old friend on the street, what will you do ?

I will definitely take his/her contact and have a date again and again.

So why don't you come to meet this old friend right now?
